General FAQs

Multiple options:

  1. Watch them when they air on channel 191 on your Chicopee Charter Cable dial. Schedule for that here.

  2. Watch them when they air on channel 191 here on the web.

  3. Watch live via Facebook (if you subscribe to our Facebook page, you’ll get notifications whenever we go live).

  4. Watch live via our YouTube page.

  5. Watch meetings that happened previously via our Government Youtube page.

  6. Listen to audio-only of meetings while on-the-go wherever you get your podcasts on Chicopee Government (note this is not live / usually available next-day).

I want to watch the latest government meetings (City Council, School Committee, etc). How can I do so?

Meetings from late June of 2022 to present are all available on our Government YouTube page. Meetings from 2013>2021 are archived here.

I am looking for old government meetings. Can I still get at those?

I have something finished that I'd like ChicopeeTV to air. What do I do?

Great! We love content produced by our neighbors! The first thing you need to do is complete 2 forms:

  1. Statement of Compliance (saying your content complies with Cablecast guidelines for broadcast)

  2. Request for Cablecasting (giving us your personal information)

Once that's done, send us the forms:

  • Snail Mail: ChicopeeTV - 617 Montgomery St, Door AC - Chicopee, MA 01020

  • Email: contact@chicopeetv.org

  • Fax: 413-594-3442

Once we receive your forms, we'll reach out with next steps.

How do I get something on the Community Bulletin Board for air on Channel 193?

Simple.  Go here.

Yes.  By going here (if you're inside a Chicopee School, you have to go here instead).

Can I see stuff on the community bulletin board without using a TV?

I am interested in internship opportunities with ChicopeeTV (through an area college or high school within Chicopee).

We're always looking for students of all levels who have a passion for producing video content. Whether you're a student or a counselor who works at an area school, we'd love to hear from you.  Read about our internships here, or contact us about your unique situation.

I have questions about the Community Portal (within SchoolBrains) or other school-related matters to access my/my child's records.

While ChicopeeTV is technically within the telecom / IT office of the school district, we at ChicopeeTV cannot provide support for these issues. However - from our friends in IT: “First, make sure you're going to the right place (many parents/students are using the link for teachers). You should be signing into the "Community Portal" using the login credentials that were e-mailed to you by the telecom office. If you have not received such an e-mail, contact your child's school to ensure that you have an active e-mail account on your child's bio. The telecom office cannot assist you until that step has been taken care of.  List of school phone numbers here.”

I'm interested in checking out equipment from ChicopeeTV or using the studio to shoot something. How does that work?

ChicopeeTV has a huge suite of equipment that is available for community use - from our studio to field equipment to post-production editing computers. The first thing you'll need to do is complete equipment training (this is mandatory for all community users to ensure they know how to use equipment without breaking it).

If you've already completed training, just complete our online Reservation Request to request dates for gear usage.

I’m looking for a really old video that I think ChicopeeTV might have (of my graduation, a chorus performance, old inauguration, etc). Do you have anything like that?

Media prior to 2010 was captured to tape cassettes. From 2014 to 2019, we transferred our old programming to digital formats. Many of our oldest tapes were brittle and broke to pieces as they played through the recorders for the first time in decades, but much was preserved. We’ve since been organizing and uploading to our online archive. Try looking there for your old event. Can’t find it there? Contact us and we’ll see if it’s amongst those that haven’t been uploaded yet.

Is there a way to read ChicopeeTV's Rules & Operating Procedures?

Yes, our Access Rules & Operating Procedures are public record.  You can download/view it here.
