INTERNSHIPS

ChicopeeTV has relationships with many area schools at both high school and college levels:

Through these partnerships, we host ongoing internships to educate the next generation of video professionals. Our goal is to provide interns with hands-on experience in a variety of television production scenarios. At the end of this internship, interns will have an improved working knowledge of video production and television production facilities, and will have finished videos to add to their reel. Student work will be aired on ChicopeeTV channels and on ChicopeeTV’s on-demand Vimeo platform.

ChicopeeTV interns are trained on our gear as they assist in (and lead) production and television operations, including:

Work alongside professional staff in the creation and management of television programming
Learn state-of-the-art, server-based broadcasting technologies and field production equipment (field cameras, microphones, etc)
Operate studio (studio cameras, lighting, and teleprompter) & control room (switcher, server operation, character generator, audio mixer) equipment
Conceptualize, write & produce original content in episodic or short form - in news, documentary and/or narrative genres
Act as a crew member for existing ChicopeeTV programs
Edit packages for air in Avid/Final Cut/Premiere
Create 3D graphics for use in television programming
